This early winter
view of Deep Creek Village is from the marshy area on the
northeast side of the cove behind the DCV units. This cove
is the northern most tip of McHenry Cove, so it is also the
northern most tip of Deep Creek Lake.

The main slopes of Wisp are
directly across Marsh Hill Rd. from the DCV units. The walk from any DCV
unit to the ski area is no more than about the length of a city block.
Most units have views of the slopes that range from spectacular
to "partially blocked." But in any case, the feeling you
have at DCV is that you are very near to just about everything
that makes the area such a treat to visit.
Note that this picture was taken in early
December 2006, but Wisp generally tries to get the slopes
looking like this by Thanksgiving.
