Deep Creek Village is located in the Appalachian Mountains of Western Maryland.  Each of our forty-eight town homes faces the main ski slopes at Wisp Resort.  Our rear windows look out onto the Northernmost tip of Deep Creek Lake.  The quiet corner of the lake on which we reside is called McHenry Cove.

Our association shares twelve boat docks that can be used by owners and guests for docking their boats during peak season (with prior planning and approval).  Our docks are also ideal for fishing, swimming, and launching and retrieving kayaks and canoes.  The docks are available from approximately late April to mid October each year.  But like all other docks on Deep Creek Lake, they are removed from the lake during the year's coldest months to avoid the effects of winter "freezeovers."

During the winter months, the downhill ski slopes at Wisp are probably the main highlight of a visit to Deep Creek Village.  But the area also offers cross country skiing, sledding and tubing, snowmobiling, and other ice-and-snow related activities.

During the warmer months, the lake is the most popular reason for traveling to the area.  You can rent ski boats, pontoon boats, personal watercrafts, sailboats, kayaks, and canoes.  You can fish the lake or nearby streams and rivers.  The mountain slopes at Wisp offer thrilling hiking and biking options plus a mountain coaster, golfing, and activities of other types for everyone.  In addition, there are many places where visitors to the area may spend their time exploring the wilderness, playing with their children, or playing AS the children that they bottle up inside themselves elsewhere.

Area views are gorgeous year-round in season-specific ways.  There are always opportunities for relaxing, shopping, eating out, and enjoying local festivals and activities.  Trips to all of the local state parks are a guaranteed treat, but hikes to and around Muddy Creek Falls (at Swallow Falls State Park) can especially highlight the delightful scenic differences between summer and winter in Garrett County.
